Accessibility

Holistic Travel Plan (HTP) is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible, and empowering digital environment for all users — including those with physical, sensory, cognitive, or chronic health conditions. Accessibility is a continuous journey, and we are actively working to improve both our platform and the services listed on it.

Digital Accessibility

HTP is designed with usability and universal access in mind. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and implement inclusive digital design principles across the platform, including:

  • High-contrast design and readable font choices;
  • Screen-reader compatibility for all interactive content;
  • Avoidance of color as the sole indicator of information;
  • Descriptive labels for buttons, links, and forms;
  • Alt-text for all images;
  • Keyboard-friendly navigation and logical content structure.

We continuously test and adapt our design and user interface to ensure that people using assistive technologies can navigate the platform with ease.

Inclusive Features (Planned and In Progress)

HTP is also developing additional features to support broader accessibility and user autonomy:

  • Voice navigation and voice-command support (upcoming);
  • AI-guided accessibility suggestions tailored to user needs and preferences;
  • Multilingual interface with simple, clear, and inclusive language;
  • Advanced search filters to highlight services that cater to people with:
  • Reduced mobility,
  • Visual or auditory sensitivities,
  • Chronic illnesses or neurodivergence.

These features aim to support users in finding safe, inclusive, and comfortable experiences, whether they are traveling or engaging in local offerings.

Service-Level Accessibility

HTP encourages all Service Providers to disclose accessibility-related information clearly and accurately on their service pages. This includes, where applicable:

  • Step-free access and wheelchair-friendly facilities;
  • Availability of tactile or auditory aids;
  • Support for service animals;
  • Quiet spaces and sensory-friendly environments;
  • Accommodation of special diets or allergy-sensitive menus;
  • Support for participants with cognitive or psychological needs.
We are developing tools to help Providers easily highlight their accessibility features and help Clients filter and compare offerings based on their personal needs.
